IN THE WORKS: THE WITCH’S MARK

What does it mean to witness the suffering of others? Experience 'The Witch’s Mark,' an interdisciplinary performance by Belle and The Beats, in collaboration with the sculptural series by visual artist and filmmaker Deniz Eroglu.

This performance delves into the cyclical nature of the persecution and dominion of women and other marginalized individuals in society, as well as the role of spectatorship in these events. Through the interplay of electronic live music, vocals, dance, theatre, shibari and visual art, 'The Witch’s Mark' creates a multi-sensory experience, inviting the audience to witness the three stages of the witch trial: interrogation, trial, and execution.

The first part premieres in May at De Toneelschuur and O. Festival. The full 75-minute performance premieres in December 2025. Contact info[at]belleandthebeats.com for more information and bookings.
