Major Support for The Witch's Mark
We are thrilled to announce that our project, The Witch's Mark, has received generous funding from the Dutch Stimuleringsfonds and the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK). This support represents a significant milestone for Stichting Belle and The Beats, bringing us closer to realizing this groundbreaking production.
The Witch's Mark is an interdisciplinary live music performance that delves into the cyclical nature of persecution and power dynamics. Through the integration of live electronic music, vocals, dance, theatre, shibari, and visual art, we take the audience on an intense journey through the three stages of a witch trial: interrogation, trial, and execution. The project challenges the passive role of spectators and raises questions about involvement and responsibility.
This funding enables us to further develop and present The Witch's Mark at major events, including a large-scale performance at DOOR Open Space in late 2025.
With this powerful collaboration between artists and our community, we are determined to leave a lasting impression on audiences and share an important message about power structures and solidarity.
We look forward to welcoming you into this raw and immersive universe. Stay tuned for updates on our website and social media channels!
